CIVIL ENGINEER 

Location: Bloomington, Minnesota | Full-time, onsite

 

A civil and environmental consulting firm serving developers, architects, landowners and municipalities throughout the Midwest.

 

POSITION SUMMARY

Lead and collaborate with civil design staff in preparing site-development construction documents, including site layout, grading, drainage, utilities, erosion control and environmental permitting.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Produce site layout, grading/drainage, site-utility and erosion-control construction drawings.

- Develop plans in AutoCAD Civil 3D and stormwater models in HydroCAD.

- Assist with environmental permits and water-resources regulatory compliance.

- Collaborate with project staff, solve complex problems and meet multiple deadlines.

 

REQUIRED

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.

- At least 2 years of relevant experience.

- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and HydroCAD.

- Strong understanding of site design, grading and stormwater.

- Strong communication and problem-solving skills; available onsite in Bloomington.

 

PREFERRED

EIT certification with plans to obtain PE; familiarity with current water-resources rules.
